Sawyer SP105-Mini Editorial Review
The Sawyer Products Mini Water Filtration System is a compact and portable water filter that is convenient for personal use during short trips. It is easy to use and clean, making it a great option for outdoor enthusiasts and military personnel. The filter twists onto a standard water bottle and has a one-way flow system for filtering and backwashing. With an affordable price, this filter pays for itself quickly depending on your travel location. However, there are some drawbacks to Consider. Filtering a liter of water can take several minutes, and filtering multiple liters each day can be time-Consuming. The included collapsible pouch is convenient but prone to bursting, and the warranty only covers the filter, not the pouch. The backwashing tool, a simple plastic syringe, is not the best tool for the job. Additionally, the filter must be kept above freezing temperatures to maintain its effectiveness, which can be challenging in colder climates. Overall, the Sawyer Mini Water Filtration System is a reliable and portable option for filtering water during short trips. However, for longer trips or multiple people, it may be worth Considering other options.
