IRWIN Wood Chisels Editorial Review
The Irwin Marples M750 Splitproof Soft Touch Chisel 1.1/4 has garnered a largely positive reception among customers, particularly for its quality and performance. Users have praised the chisels for being sharp right out of the box, accurately reflecting the brand's longstanding reputation for producing reliable and effective tools. The balance and feel of the chisels while cutting, particularly through hard materials like oak, have been highlighted as superior compared to other brands, demonstrating the craftsmanship that has characterized Marples for decades. However, some feedback suggests that the steel quality may not be as durable as it once was, with one customer noting that the edge can dull quickly during use, especially in comparison to other brands like Bahco. Despite this minor criticism, many believe that the Irwin Marples chisels remain among the best options available, with their excellent value for price and overall performance. Overall, the Irwin Marples M750 chisel stands out for its user-friendliness and sharpness, making it a solid choice for both amateur and professional woodworkers, but potential buyers should be mindful of its edge retention compared to some competitors. **
