ロジェ・カイヨワ Crafts Editorial Review
**** The re-release of the book has been met with enthusiastic praise from readers, many of whom appreciate the chance to revisit Kaïwa's unique perspectives on pattern stones. Although the latest version features a new translator, most reviewers feel that the essence of the work remains intact, and they express satisfaction that the experience feels similar to the original. Readers noted that this text is not just accessible but also enjoyable, a significant advantage given that the previous edition has become scarce in the secondhand market. The author, Yamada Hideharu, has a personal connection to the work, having been an avid collector of pattern stones, which adds an extra layer of appreciation for enthusiasts of mineralogy. The insights presented in this edition are profound, particularly Kaïwa's comparative analysis of stones and paintings. Several readers found themselves captivated by the rich language and philosophical depth of the text, prompting deep reflection as they journey through its pages. Moreover, the book's supplementary materials, including the afterword by the translator and additional notes on illustrations, have been highlighted as valuable assets that enhance the reader's understanding and engagement with the subject matter, ensuring that the exploration of each stone is both enlightening and enriching. The reading experience is described as both intellectually stimulating and emotionally profound, often leading to moments of introspection. Overall, this reissued text is highly recommended, especially for those who have an affinity for nature's artistry and the intellectual discussions it can inspire. With an appropriate price for the depth and quality of content, it stands out as a must-read within its niche. **
