Detalles de producto
- In a world of precise digital octave pedals, the JHS Double Dragon lo-fi octave pedal takes a deliberate step back into analog territory. Rather than polished replication, it embraces texture, instability and harmonic grit. Powered by standard 9VDC center-negative operation and drawing 75mA, the Double Dragon pairs a monophonic octave-down circuit with a distortion-driven octave-up stage, delivering thick subharmonic weight and aggressive harmonic edge in a compact enclosure. From synth-like single-note riffs to blown-out octave fuzz textures, it channels the spirit of octave tones achieved by players such as Jimi Hendrix, Prince and Joe Satriani, as well as the saturated octave sounds heard in bands like The White Stripes, Rage Against the Machine and Royal Blood. Guitarists and bass players alike can use the Double Dragon to add vintage-style octave-down heft or searing octave-up bite to modern pedalboard setups. Dual Analog Octave Architecture The Double Dragon combines a vintage-voiced octave-down effect with a gritty octave-up distortion circuit, each independently controllable for flexible tonal layering. The lower octave produces unstable, synth-style tracking and heavy fundamentals associated with early analog designs, while the upper octave introduces cutting midrange bite and harmonic saturation. Used independently or stacked together, the circuits move from focused riff reinforcement to aggressive, harmonically dense textures that command space in a mix. Practical Controls With Performance Headroom A master Volume control provides ample output boost to keep your signal forward, while the Dry control blends clean tone for added articulation and note definition. The OCT knob shapes the depth of the octave-down voice, and OCT+ adjusts the gain and character of the upper octave distortion. A dedicated footswitch engages the octave-up circuit for dynamic tonal shifts during performance without complicating the layout. Pedalboard-Ready Design With Expressive Analog Response Top-mounted jacks help conserve pedalboard space, and buffered bypass supports consistent signal integrity in live rigs. The compact enclosure integrates easily into modern guitar effects setups, while the natural tracking quirks of its analog design become part of its expressive appeal. Whether paired with overdrive for mid-forward punch, fuzz for layered saturation or modulation for synth-inspired movement, the JHS Double Dragon delivers an analog octave pedal experience that favors character over perfection.
