While it marks a departure from their earlier works, the album is praised for its unique and introspective quality that resonates deeply with fans. Listeners appreciate that "Solace" offers a refreshing experience, filled with beauty and introspection while still delivering tracks that fans have come to love. The tracks blend together to create a cohesive listening experience, with one reviewer noting that it’s best Consumed as a whole rather than picking songs individually. The standout track “Eyes” has been recommended as an excellent entry point for those unsure about the album's new tonal direction. While “Treat You Better” was perceived as slightly out of sync with the darker themes of the album, it still retained some appeal, showcasing the group’s versatility. Many reviews emphasize the profound emotional impact of the music, describing it as capable of "seeping into your soul." The sound quality of the vinyl has received high praise, with listeners asserting that it stands out among their collections.
