Tookie Timers Metal Timer Lock Editorial Review
The Metal Timer Lock with LCD Display is an innovative solution to controlling access to items in a secure and timed fashion. It is a multi-functional device that can secure your lunchbox, safe, or other items for up to 99 hours. The automatically unlatching mechanism is a stand-out feature of this lock, and the three-time emergency override is said to be an effective deterrent to checking on one’s vices in a moment of weakness. While some customers report receiving damaged devices, for those that receive fully functioning locks, satisfaction rates are high. Many report successful use in a variety of settings, including in the fridge, on insulated lunch boxes, and for securing electronic items from curious children. However, there are also several customers who report issues with either the device being poorly made, with errors in the time setting function or malfunctioning parts causing breakage. Additionally, there have been complaints about the poor brightness of the display, which has affected the reading of the timer by making the numbers hard to see. Overall, the initial novelty, usefulness and appeal of this device is high, but potential buyers may want to test the quality of the lock upon receipt, and ensure it meets their expectations before locking anything away.
