Rated: R Format: Blu-ray Horror Editorial Review
Those who may be skeptical of yet another horror movie about clowns should rethink their position when it comes to IT: Chapter One And Two on Blu-ray. The films capture the essence of Stephen King's original book, exploring themes of childlike wonder and imagination. While the CGI may take away from the experience at times, the emotional intensity, acting, directing, and cinematography all shine through. The included documentary and bonus materials are fascinating, offering insight into the making of the movie and interviews with King himself. While some viewers may prefer the original IT mini-series, this remake holds up as a solid horror movie with engaging storytelling and solid acting. Despite some disappointment with damaged packaging, fans of IT or Stephen King in general should definitely check it out.
