Tjernlund Ventilation Fans RMS160 Editorial Review
The Tjernlund Radon Mitigation Fan has generally positive customer reviews. Customers who followed the installation instructions and sealed any gaps in their flooring and walls found that the fan reduced their radon levels significantly. However, customers who installed it near their living spaces found the fan to be too loud. The noise level is comparable to a box fan on high according to some reviewers. The fan's noise level is mainly noticeable outside, whereas noise from the fan's motor is noticeable indoors. The fan motor can get hot but is generally quiet if installed properly. Some customers preferred this fan over a traditional radon mitigation fan installation as it was more aesthetically pleasing without a PVC pipe running up the side of the house. The fan has received some criticism about its price point, and some customers found it to be overpriced. Overall, the product does meet radon mitigation codes in Michigan and has reduced radon levels to a safe level for customers who have had success with the product. **
