Shop Fox Mobile Bases Editorial Review
The Shop Fox D2057A Adjustable Mobile Base is a heavy-duty mobile base that allows for easy movement of power tools around workshop surfaces. Assembly is relatively straightforward, but it takes time and patience. The caster mounting plates are approximately 2 3/4 by 1 1/2. The base comes with three swivel poly casters, and upgrading to bigger casters would not work because they would rub the frame. The Shop Fox Adjustable Mobile Base has a 700 lb capacity and can fit in a space ranging from 19 inches x 20-1/2 inches to 29-1/2 inches x 29-1/2 inches. The directions were simple, and the frame was sturdy. However, the locknuts are challenging to work with as they have a lot of excess material. The base only has one side swivel, which can make it inconvenient to maneuver in small shops.
