Im wanting to use this shaft for 1998 Chevrolet Silverado, do you get a lot of vibration using this shaft vs. a steering shaft with a rag joint ?
Respuesta: No vibrations but a lot of hydraulic 'wooshing' sounds from the steering box anytime the steering wheel is moved. I don't reccomend this for a daily driver, maybe an offroad vehicle. -

Respuesta: It's pretty easy to cut to size. I used a cut off disk on my grinder. The whole project took less than an hour. -

Respuesta: Yes it will. You will have to trim it to fit your Jim my but it isn't a big deal to do. I have a 1990 gmc suburban and had to trim about 9' off the large shaft. -

my old shaft is 21 1/2 inches, will this telescope down that short?
Respuesta: It did not telescope down completely for me so I took the top U-joint off (very simple to do) and cut the shaft so it would not interfere with the telescoping part of the shaft. Once I put all back together and installed it is great! It is extremely better than stock. -

How much do you trim for a 1976 K5 Blazer?
Respuesta: Every square body Chevy is slightly different so you'll have to fit it and trim as little as possible making a few test fits. I ended up trimming about 4' for my 1989 Suburban R2500. -

Will this fit a 1989 c1500 with tilt?
Respuesta: Not totally positive. It did fit my 1989 GMC suburban V1500 perfectly. It is telescoping and replaces the rag joint at the box. If the steering box on your c1500 is the same as the V1500 it should be perfect match. And if not you must find one, it is a totally awesome steering upgrade. -

what is the diameter and spline count of the ends?
Respuesta: My 79 Chevy has a 3/4'-30 Spline box from PSC, the one included didn't fit. It's supposed to be a direct replacement for the stock box. The replacement joint they sent did not fit either - likely really right tolerances, but I ended up buying a different steering box joint that bolted right up and works great. Respuesta: Yes it should. I have a 1989 GMC Suburban V2500 and it is a perfect fit. It is telescopic and it did fit connectors at both ends. Use nylock type nuts on the bolts. Top and bottom. It was a huge improvement over the rag joint. I do recommend anyone with a square body install this awesome part. It is steel and rusts quickly so coat it with paint or grease.
