Nothing But the Beat: Special Edition Audio CD Extra tracks, September 6, 2011

**** David Guetta's album "Nothing But The Beat" has garnered mixed reactions from listeners, showcasing a spectrum of audiophiles who either embrace its infectious energy or find it lacking. Many fans praise the regular (unedited) version for its lively, club-ready tracks that steer clear of excessive instrumental interludes typically found in mix CDs. In particular, the album features a series of remarkable dance songs that resonate well at gatherings, with notable highlights including "Titanium," "Sweat," and "I Can Only Imagine." Enthusiasts appreciate Guetta's incorporation of full verses and choruses, delivering a complete musical experience rather than just loops of percussion. A few reviews spotlight how the album has a nostalgic blend of sounds, with some tracks evoking fond memories of the past, particularly those from the 1990s. The energetic vibe and the variety provided by well-known guest artists add to the album's appeal, ensuring it remains engaging throughout its entirety. Listeners expressed satisfaction in being able to play the album through without skipping tracks, a rarity in today’s music landscape. However, not all reviews sing praises; some listeners voiced disappointment over certain tracks, leading them to skip through the album. While they acknowledged Guetta's collaborations with major artists like Sia and Flo Rida, they found the songs fell flat or lacked memorability. For them, previous works by Guetta carried more impact. Still, the album is generally recommended for those who enjoy upbeat electronic music with mainstream appeal, yet potential buyers should Consider sampling key tracks to ascertain if the style aligns with their tastes. **
