The magnet inside the float is fully encased and there is no exposed metal, making it safe for use. The switch can be used in a normally closed or normally open circuit configuration just by flipping the float 180 degrees on the shaft, and can handle a maximum of 3 amps. The mounting depth of the sensor depends on the water level and desired float position.
